Trail Guard Application:

For best protection, apply Trail Guard prior to exploring wooded, tick-heavy areas or extended walks & hikes. For use at home, reapply every 2-3 days or after your dog swims or bathes, as water can lessen its effectiveness.

• Shake Well: Begin by giving the bottle of Trail Guard a good shake to mix all the natural, potent ingredients thoroughly.

• Rough Up the Fur: Gently lift or rough up your dog’s fur in the opposite direction of its growth. This ensures that the spray reaches the skin, providing better protection against pests.

• Spray Evenly: Holding the bottle about 6-8 inches away, lightly spray Trail Guard over your dog’s coat, making sure to cover all areas but avoid over-saturating.

• Massage In (optional): After spraying, gently massage the product into the fur and down to the skin. This helps in distributing the spray evenly and ensures that it reaches where pests are most likely to hide.

• Avoid Sensitive Areas: When dealing with the face and ears, apply the spray to your hands first and then gently rub onto these sensitive areas, steering clear of the eyes and nose.

• Let Dry: Allow your dog’s coat to air-dry naturally. There’s no need to rinse the product off.

  
  

Flea & Tick Shampoo Application:

• Wet Coat: Start by thoroughly wetting your dog’s coat with warm water. This prepares the fur for a deep cleanse and effective treatment.

• Apply Shampoo: Pour a generous amount of Flea and Tick Shampoo into your palms and apply evenly across your dog’s body. Be sure to reach all areas, especially under the belly and behind the ears.

• Lather Well: Massage the shampoo into a rich lather. This helps the natural active ingredients penetrate deeply to kill and repel pests. Allow the shampoo to sit for 3-5 minutes for maximum efficacy.

• Rinse Thoroughly: Rinse your dog’s coat thoroughly with clean water. Ensure all shampoo residue is washed out to prevent skin irritation.

• Dry and Brush: Gently towel dry your dog or use a low-heat hair dryer. Brushing helps remove any loosened fleas and ticks, and it aids in distributing natural skin oils that can be disrupted by bathing.

• Avoid Sensitive Areas: Be cautious around the face and ears. Use a cloth to gently apply shampoo around these sensitive areas, avoiding eyes and inside the ears.

• Frequency of Use: Depending on your dog’s activity and exposure to pests, use Flea and Tick Shampoo every 2-3 weeks or after any exposure to heavily infested areas.
